Welltaro is the protagonist of Downwell — a curious young fellow who, out for a stroll one night, decides to climb into a well wearing his Gunboots.
He starts every run with 4 hp (6 in Boulder Style), 8 charges and the Machinegun. His talents are considerable: depending on style he can descend while standing on his hands, levitating, hauling a boulder or windmilling his arms — and whatever drove him down the well, the ending suggests it wasn't idle curiosity.
Trivia
- The name "Welltaro" never appears in the game itself; developer Ojiro Fumoto supplied it for the character's guest appearance in Indie Pogo.
