Health (hp) is how many hits Welltaro can take before the run ends. Almost everything that hurts — enemy contact, bullets, spikes — costs exactly 1 hp. You start with 4 (6 in Boulder Style).

Gaining health[edit]

The overflow bar[edit]

Each point of healing received at full health fills one slot of the small overflow gauge under your health bar, and every 4 slots converts into a new permanent max-hp slot.
