A gem vein is a concentrated node of gems found in Safe Zones. It has 30 hp of block durability; breaking it open releases around 120G in gems.
Each Safe Zone's treasure spot holds either a gem vein or a gun module. At 2 hp or less the roll strongly favours the module, whose heart variant can heal you. In Arm Spin Style the spot is always a module, so gem veins never appear.
