Jellofish is a secret enemy. A single one spawns in the Aquifer if the player has not entered any side room so far in the run: the game tracks this in a flag named easter, and the first Red Jelly created while the flag is set spawns one Jellofish beside it, once per run.
The same flag controls the Tomato: seeing a Jellofish confirms the run still qualifies for the Tomato in the Abyss.
At 100 hp it is far tougher than anything else in the area, but it can be stomped.
