In the game
Rocket Jump (ロケットジャンプ) is an upgrade. Lift off.
Stats
Every jump from solid ground spawns the same bulletBlast object that Blast Module uses, at the player's feet. From the game code:
- The explosion deals 50 damage (
bdmg = 50), hitting every enemy it overlaps once per blast. - The damage window is the first 4 animation frames (at half speed, about 8 game frames).
- The blast is reskinned to
spSplosion1, a 64 by 64 sprite; since the collision mask follows the sprite, the explosion covers a quarter of the area of Blast Module's 128 by 128 blast. - The upgrade also raises jump speed from 4.4 to 5, a hidden buff not mentioned in its description. (Boulder Style's 15% jump penalty applies on top.)
- Internally the upgrade flag is called
pugRocket. spSplosion1is shared with the game's generic weapon explosions (bullet_explosion), so the visual is not unique to this upgrade.
