Doodads are the small destructible props scattered through every level — torches, candles, pots, coral and their kin. Stomping one bounces the player and recharges the Gunboots without ending the current combo. They drop a few gems when broken.
Doodads are usually drawn in the scenery colour (white in the default palette); the candles of the Catacombs and the underwater props of the Aquifer are the exceptions. In Limbo, floating doodads are the only things to bounce on.
In Boulder Style, walking into a doodad breaks it.
