A single one spawns in the [[Aquifer]] if the player has not entered any [[Safe Zone|side room]] so far in the run: the game tracks this in a flag named <code>easter</code>, and the first [[Red Jelly]] created while the flag is set spawns one Jellofish beside it, once per run.

The same flag controls the [[Tomato]]: seeing a Jellofish confirms the run still qualifies for the Tomato in the [[Abyss]].

At 100 hp it is far tougher than anything else in the area, but it can be stomped.
